Mainely Monday: Easter Must Haves

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  There is no need to purchase loads and loads of gifts and it celebrates the greatest event ever.  My kids are just as keen on the holiday.  Here are some of my must haves for every Easter.

This amazing Sea Bags Limited Edition Chevron Bucket Bag is a perfect Easter basket especially for a Maine kid.  It's not only made of recycled sails, but stores easily (unlike your typical Easter basket) and can be used year round. Chocolate goodies are a necessity for all Easter baskets and this Wilbur's of Maine chocolate bunny comes in milk, dark and white chocolate (or you can just buy all three!).  What's an Easter basket without a toy or two?  A Maine made buoy bat is a great springtime toy that all kiddos (and grownups) will enjoy.  Check out your local hardware/farm supply store for baby chicks, ducks, lambs, etc.  Bring your kids and just try to leave without one.  I dare you.

Happy Monday!

Weekend Wrap-up

This weekend was crazy busy to say the least, but here are a few peeks at how we spent it.  We spent the night in Camden and went out to eat at Cuzzy's Friday night followed by some shopping downtown on Saturday where I fell in love with this $900 lamp at Once a Tree.  After church we ran into another church's parade which was absolutely amazing.  We attempted to start the backsplash that has been on our to-do list for years and apparently will be chipping away at it this week.  What did you do this weekend?

Lust List

While things have been insane at work this week, I still have found time to do a little online shopping (don't ask about showering ;).  When you're stressed to the max, there is nothing like a little (online) retail therapy to make you relax.  Here are the things I am lusting over this week...

Lust List

There aren't many people that can make me laugh like Chelsea Handler.  I just love her sometimes borderline sense of humor.  Her newest book Uganda Be Kidding Me is a must read for me. || Croquet is one of my favorite games of all time.  It is about time I finally get my own set, preferably this one by L.L. Bean. || I can always find an excuse for a cocktail so this Kate Spade Cheers Cuff is perfect for me. || A recent photo taken of me by my kids made me realize how necessary this Kiehl's wrinkle cream is.  Where in the world did these forehead wrinkles come from??? || These Sanctuary shorts are just what I need for a little variation from denim cutoffs this summer. || I love foaming soap for my boys' dirty fingers.  This new Mrs. Meyers watermelon foaming soap is perfect for keeping their hands squeaky clean and smelling amazing!

Mainely Monday: The Maine Float Rope Co.

If there is an official doormat of Maine, this is it.  Handwoven in Waldoboro, these mats from The Maine Float Rope Co. are made out of recycled lobstermen float rope by fishing families.  Not to mention, they are pretty much indestructible.  I have an adorable pink and white one that sees plenty of rain, snow, sun and mud and is no more worse for the wear, which is exactly what I need at my house.  If by some miracle, you don't find one that you love, they can be customized also so the options are, quite literally, endless.

Happy Monday!

White Bean Boots... RUN!!!

New white bean boots were released today!  If you want them--buy them immediately (seriously, they will be gone before you know it!).  Oh, and unfortunately they are not available with a cool monogram like Kikkan Randall's <frown>.

Things I'm Lovin'

This pic of Britney Spears goofing off with her fam in Hawaii (I mean how cute is this?)...

...I am beyond excited for Rondo to act as commentator during Monday's Celtics vs. Bulls game (my boys are pretty darn excited too!)...

...this little ditty from Us Weekly about the return of Tyler Blackburn (aka Caleb) to PLL(!!!)...

...I'm a sucker for cute packaging and Maine's Own Organic new packaging is just that (my boys love the crossword puzzle)...

...snuggling with this girl always makes my day better...

...this reminder to Be Brave struck a nerve this week.  Things are crazy busy at work and will continue to be so for the next month and a half.  I reminded myself several times this week to stick up for myself, ask from more from others and get sh*t done! :)

Enjoy your weekend (I sure as heck will)!!!
